Furniture Construction
Products are manufactured from Poplar and Pine lumber primarily, with some composite material for tabletops and some shelving to prevent warping. The furniture is built to withstand normal wear and tear. However, since it is wood and not plastic, you might want to help your children understand that damage can occur by hitting it with hard objects.
Painting & Finishing
All of our designs are painted by hand. We do not use stencils, paint pens, or air brushes. Consequently there will be some depth and texture to surfaces from the brush strokes.
All paints and top coating materials we use are water based for safety. They are non-toxic and give off very low, if any odor. Each piece is primed, painted, and top coated with several coats of a Polycrylic finish for a hard, durable finish. Our top coat will withstand normal abuse and can be cleaned with mild soap and water (baby changing wipes work great), and wiped dry with a clean cloth.
Customizing
You can choose a color and style from the many samples available, or tell us the colors that will work best with your rooms decor. Color matching is available for a small fee from swatches that you provide. Though we do not copy designs from wall paper or borders, we can customize something that will compliment them nicely to fully coordinate your Childs room.
